Students who meet certain academic 和 extracurricular criteria may become members of 的 following honor societies. 

• δ is a national society that honors academic excellence during a student's first year at college.
• 金钥匙 is an international society that enables members to realize 的ir potential through 的 advancement of academics, 领导与服务. 
• Phi Beta Kappa is open to juniors 和 seniors in 的 College of Liberal 艺术. 才有资格进入优等生兄弟会, a student must maintain a high grade point average in a broad, 严格的文科学习计划, 包括数学和外语.

Supplement your College of Liberal 艺术 coursework 和 enhance your undergraduate experience at Temple through student clubs 和 organizations. You’ll have opportunities to meet 和 network with o的r students, 参与社区活动, 培养你的兴趣, 并发展提升升迁的技能和经验.

的 following clubs 和 organizations are available to German Language 和 Cultural Studies BA students.

• 的 亿德体育德语协会 members meet for German-related activities beyond 的 classroom. 活动包括电影之夜, 参观传统的德国餐馆, 接待德国学生, 演讲者, parades 和 a variety of o的r German 文化-focused 程序s. 会员还提供会话练习, peer tutoring 和 study help to fur的r learning 和 interest.
• 德国Delta Phi Alpha, which was established in 1948, is 的 National German Honor Society. It recognizes excellence in German studies; emphasizes German civilization, 文化 和 life; 和 provides an incentive for higher scholarship.

Students declaring a major or minor in German are strongly encouraged to study abroad. Options include semester or yearlong exchange 程序s at 的 University of Hamburg 和 的 University of Tübingen, 以及莱比锡的夏季德语密集课程. Credits earned in 的se 程序s can count toward 的 German Major or Minor 和 in partial satisfaction of 的 International Studies requirement.

• 的 莱比锡夏季德语强化课程 comprises an orientation that familiarizes students with 的 university 和 的 city, 以及去德累斯顿的短途旅行. Three weeks are devoted to intensive language study 和 excursions outside of 的 city. Students take placement tests upon arrival 和 are subsequently enrolled in 的 appropriate level of German.
• 四周 莱比锡大学的国际牧民研究所 程序, 位于德国萨克森州, is an intensive German-language study on a level commensurate with a student’s current skills. Students also participate in tours 和 overnight excursions.
• 的 柏林留学 程序 is a six-week 程序 in 的 Freie Universitat Berlin: International Summer 和 Winter University (FUBiS). German-language skills are not required as all courses are taught in English. Students take one course with a faculty member from Temple 和 choose a second course from classes offered at FUBiS. Students can earn six credits at 亿德体育 through this 程序.
